Investment Philosophy

We believe that strategic asset allocation is the most important determinant of a portfolio’s risk and return over time. Our Core Models and their variations cover the major asset classes of domestic and international equities, fixed income, alternative investments, and cash. We use a disciplined approach employing strategic and tactical elements in constructing and monitoring our allocations. In designing our portfolios we take into account trends such as the rise of alternative energy, the emerging middle class in developing countries and the transformation of world trade and globalization. Asset allocation does not ensure a profit or protect against a loss.

Independent Thinking

We believe that the most effective investment approach is through independent, objective thinking. We are an independent firm employed by our clients only. Our independence, coupled with our compensation structure, allows us to seek out appropriate investments to pursue your needs. We provide full transparency of costs and have no incentive to purchase investments because of fee sharing arrangements. Our structure allows us to focus on our client interests without bias or influence.

Capital Preservation

We believe our job is to protect and build your wealth. We strive to do this by identifying short and long-term risks, and designing strategic portfolios to prudently manage these risks. We use our Core Portfolio and diversified approach because it emphasizes risk management.

Controlling the Impact of Expenses, Taxes and Inflation

In our opinion, the biggest enemies of your portfolio and wealth over time are the negative impacts of expenses, taxes, and inflation. We are committed to eliminating unnecessary investment costs and to identifying tax saving strategies that strives to improve the chances of the success of your long term financial plan.

There is no guarantee that asset allocation or diversification will enhance overall returns, outperform a non-diversified portfolio, nor ensure a profit or protect against a loss. No strategy assures success or protects against loss.
